UT Southwestern Medical Center Researchers: Pathogen’s Scissor-Like Enzyme Provides New Clues to Treatment of Infectious Disease

Food-borne infectious diseases are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, resulting in over 90 million deaths annually. However, UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers recently identified the primary pathogenic factors that allow foreign invaders to evade a host defense system.
