Texas A&M Researchers Assist In Studies Into Cybernetics

Gradually, all the technology in a home – the television, the radio, the alarm clock, the lights, the phone, even the refrigerator and the microwave – are becoming inter-connected to each other, with more and more integration allowing for automation and remote computer control. The only component that is still being overlooked is hooking up the users themselves to the computer through implanted chips, which would not only allow biometric control of one’s environment, but also the ability to monitor health in real time. Researchers like Dr. Melissa Grunlan of Texas A&M are trying to make this a reality.
