Since the start of the CPRIT funding freeze in December of 2012, a wide range of Texas biotech organizations that specifically work within the field of cancer research and treatment have remained in flux as to when the once-prolific cancer research funding agency might once again begin to fund both new and established cancer research initiatives. In a statement on Wednesday, Wayne Roberts, the agency’s interim executive director, indicated that there was no specific timeline for resuming the funding process in Texas.
